Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy, and legally sound Finance Leader to oversee the
financial operations of our multi-location business. This role requires a sharp thinker who can
leverage AI and automation tools, maintain compliance, and align expenses with revenue and
strategic growth.

You’ll be expected to lead the finance function with accountability, accuracy, and innovation—
ensuring every rupee spent is legally justified, strategically aligned, and reviewed in a way that
supports business decisions.

Core Responsibilities & Skills Required:

1. Legal & Statutory Compliance (High Priority)

  • GST: Input claims, scrutiny response, reconciliations (past & present)
  • Income Tax, TDS, Professional Tax
  • PF, ESI, and other Labour Law compliances and documentation
  • Coordination with IT auditors and statutory auditors
2. AI Tool Familiarity

  • Working knowledge of AI-based tax & accounting tools like KDK, ClearTax, Zoho Books, etc.
  • Ability to automate routine financial tasks and generate managerial summaries
3. Expense Control & Revenue Linkage

  • Capability to analyze expenses from highest to lowest
  • Mapping major expenses to expected revenue or strategic outputs
  • Experience in budget planning, monitoring, and follow-up
  • Coordinating with HR, sales heads, and department leaders for expense justification
4. Accountability Systems

  • Strong understanding of stakeholder ownership in financial losses
  • Ability to build mechanisms for accountability, including deductions for poor financial judgment or overspending
5. Accurate Expense Recording & Audit Readiness

  • Knowledge of legal frameworks for all types of expenses
  • Clarity on documentation needed to pass future audits or scrutiny
  • Skill in detecting and correcting wrongly booked expenses
6. Payment Validation & Anti-Corruption

  • Validating the authenticity of vendor accounts and payment details
  • Ability to detect signs of corruption or manipulation in transactions
7. Reporting & Coordination

  • Generating MIS reports with actionable insights for decision-making
  • Collaborating with HR and Sales teams for projections vs actuals
  • Timely escalation and highlighting of red flags to management
Additional Must-Haves:

  • Multi-location finance handling (city/state-wise expenses, taxes, logistics)
  • Strong understanding of margin-wise costing & ROI
  • Familiarity with ESIC, PF, gratuity, labor law compliance, and contractor/vendor billing
Key Deliverables:

  • MIS Dashboard for Owner: Expense trends, projections vs. actuals, revenue-mapped spends
  • Legal Readiness: Audit trails, statutory filings, GST input reconciliations
  • Decision-making support: Expense justifications, risk analysis, team productivity
  • Zero leakage environment: Payment validation, approval checks, vendor verification
