The Performance Analysis Engineer is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of solar plants through centralized monitoring systems (SCADA & other analytics platforms). The role involves identifying deviations, providing actionable insights to site teams, preparing routine performance reports, and communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders to drive plant performance improvements.
Monitor daily and real‑time plant performance using SCADA and centralized monitoring systems.
Analyze plant performance metrics including PR (Performance Ratio), CUF, availability, energy yield, etc.
Maintain and track low‑performing inverters/strings/modules/trackers and deviations in performance, and communicate causes to site teams.
Prepare and automate daily MIS reports for plant performance.
Generate weekly and monthly generation reports and highlight deviations against budgeted targets with reasons.
Provide timely inputs to site coordinators/site in‑charge for performance optimization.
Recommend corrective measures for performance deviations and improvement in plant output.
Monitor soiling conditions and coordinate module cleaning schedules.
Communicate performance trends, findings, and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders (including customers).
Support customer interactions for resolving performance issues and optimizing plant operations.
Prepare and maintain records, SOPs, checklists, and documentation related to performance monitoring and analysis.
Support development of methodologies for monitoring different technologies and performance gain analysis.
Prepare contractual performance deliverables and ensure timely submission as per client/O&M requirements.
Assist reporting manager with technology performance insights and market trend analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent.
1–2+ years’ experience in O&M or performance analysis within the renewable energy / solar sector.
Monitoring Systems: Strong knowledge of SCADA/remote monitoring platforms.
Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and other MS Office tools.
Familiar with performance KPI calculations and data analysis fundamentals.
