Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in municipal
accounting, specifically with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The ideal candidate
will have extensive experience in managing financial transactions, tax filings, and
MCD-specific compliance, contributing to the company's financial accuracy and regulatory
adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
● MCD Compliance: Manage all MCD-related financial matters, including tax filings,
licenses, fee payments, and other municipal requirements.
● Financial Transactions: Oversee the accurate recording and management of all
financial transactions, ensuring data integrity.
● Tax Management: Handle tax calculations, submissions, and filings, including GST,
income tax, TDS, and MCD-specific taxes.
● Reconciliation: Perform regular bank, account, and ledger reconciliations to ensure
accurate financial records.
● Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
for management, ensuring MCD compliance and timely submissions.
● Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, specifically addressing any
MCD-related queries and documentation requirements.
● Policy and Procedure Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies,
procedures, and MCD regulations, keeping updated with any regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or CPA certification
preferred.
● 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years working on
MCD-specific accounts and compliance.
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
● In-depth knowledge of MCD tax regulations, filings, and municipal accounting
requirements.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
