Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Installation:
o Install, inspect, and commission HVAC equipment and systems, including air conditioning, heating systems, ventilation units, and refrigeration systems.
o Install ducts, pipes, and other HVAC system components.
o Test and calibrate HVAC systems to ensure they meet operational standards.
Maintenance & Repair:
o Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning filters, checking
refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, and lubricating moving parts.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in HVAC systems such as faulty components, system inefficiencies, or temperature control issues.
o Repair or replace malfunctioning components such as compressors, condensers, motors, and thermostats.
Preventive Maintenance:
o Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for HVAC systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
o Monitor system performance and make adjustments to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
o Identify potential issues before they escalate into major failures.
Emergency Response
o Respond promptly to emergency service calls related to HVAC systems, especially during system breakdowns or failures.
o Troubleshoot urgent issues and provide immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
o Provide recommendations for necessary system repairs or replacements to the relevant parties.
System Calibration & Monitoring:
o Regularly calibrate HVAC systems to ensure accurate performance and efficient operation.
o Monitor system controls, such as temperature and humidity settings, to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
o Record system performance and service activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Customer Service & Reporting:
o Provide excellent customer service while working with clients to understand their HVAC system needs and concerns.
o Prepare detailed reports on maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors, other technicians, and clients regarding system status and service requirements.
Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure all HVAC systems comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
o Follow safety procedures, wear protective equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
o Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations concerning HVAC systems and energy efficiency.
