1. HVAC System Modeling:
Utilize Autodesk Revit software to create 3D models of HVAC systems based on project specifications and design documents.
Generate accurate representations of HVAC components, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and controls.
Ensure that models are compliant with industry standards and local building codes.
2. Collaboration:
Work closely with HVAC engineers, designers, and other stakeholders like clients to understand project requirements and design intent.
Collaborate on design reviews and coordinate model changes as necessary.
3. Clash Detection:
Conduct clash detection analysis within the Revit model to identify and resolve conflicts between HVAC systems and other building elements (structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Participate in coordination meetings to discuss clash resolutions.
4. Detailing and Documentation:
Create detailed HVAC drawings, schedules, and documentation from the Revit model.
Ensure that drawings are clear, organized, and accurate for use by construction teams and subcontractors.
5. BIM Standards:
Adhere to Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and protocols established by the organization.
Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM standards and templates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software, with a strong focus on HVAC system modelling.
Previous experience in HVAC system design, drafting, or modelling.
Knowledge of HVAC principles, components, and systems.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to HVAC design.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in modelling and drafting.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve clashes and design conflicts.
Relevant certifications in Autodesk Revit or HVAC design are advantageous.
Must Have: Minimum 5 years of Work Experience in Revit, which includes 2 years in HVAC Industry.
