The MEP Site Engineer is responsible for managing the mechanical aspects of MEP
construction projects, including HVAC, Utility, Fire Fighting & Plumbing Systems. The role
involves close coordination with the Project Manager to ensure that all mechanical works are
executed in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and coordination with the Project Manager on all mechanical
issues throughout the project lifecycle, including load calculations, ductwork design, pipe
sizing, and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
Ensure that all mechanical works, including the installation of chillers, air handling units
(AHUs), variable air volume (VAV) systems, plumbing fixtures, and fire sprinklers, are carried
out in accordance with the approved drawings and project specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards, material quality,
and correct installation methodologies for HVAC, ductwork, chilled water piping, drainage
systems, fire suppression systems etc.
Maintain detailed job records, including inspection reports, test results, and commissioning
documentation for all mechanical systems.
Prepare and submit reports on project progress, supply and installation qtys, site
inspections, and any issues encountered, with specific attention to system commissioning
and balancing of HVAC systems.
Support HSE & QC teams through compliance to advised norms.
Address any deviations from installation standards, or project specifications, particularly
concerning pressure testing of piping systems and air quality standards.
