ROLE :- Sr. Officer - EHS ensure adherence to highest EHS standards, implement best practices, develop and report keyperformance indicators, and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
Ensure EHS Induction and job specific trainings are conducted for site workers and employees.
Ensure emergency arrangements e.g., Hospital tie-up, First Aid box, Ambulance, Firefighting equipment etc are made.
Co-ordinate with Assistant Manager – EHS (City Lead) to arrange MSDS of Hazardous Chemical and Test certificate of safety equipment & materials
Implement and maintain EHS Standard at projects.
Maintain EHS documents for the allocated project.
Ensure adherence of work permit.
Implement and maintain an emergency response system at site.
Maintain Test certificates of tools and equipment, MSDS & water test report at site.
Inspect all the Power tools and Scaffold, Ladder and other Safety equipment.
Maintain checklist - TBT, Training, Induction, Observation, Debit Note and warning letter in Safety file.
Prepare close-out report of EHS Audit and NCR received from client/PMC
Conduct a motivation programme at ongoing projects.
Conduct EHS meetings once in a week with site team.
Conduct site safety walkthrough with project in-charge and contractor.
Inspect lifting equipment and maintains lifting equipment documents of lifting activity.
Monitor housekeeping on floor and Store
Ensure and achieve Zero Accident Goal
Prepare and report of Incident/Accident with 24 hours.
Prepare report of Weekly and Monthly EHS Statistics
Handover EHS documents to client/PMC as well as Assistant Manager – EHS (City Lead) as per the process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:-
Associates Diploma or degree, Nebosh IG/IGC, ADIS in Safety, Medical First Aid and 3 to 5 years of site execution experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS:-
● He should have sound English language skills, both oral and written at a proficient level.
● He should be capable of writing mails very diligently as per requirements of accomplishing above mentioned responsibilities.
● Be proactive and able to take the lead on execution initiatives
● Use his interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals at all levels internally and externally
● Show computer proficiency in relations to MS Office, other technical & software programs as required to accomplish his responsibilities.
● Ability to provide technical support wherever and whenever required in resolving site related problems.
● He values his commitment made to clients and consultant end ensure timely accomplishment of same.
● He maintains a cordial relationship with Client/Consultant/PMC during and after the execution of the project.
