We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation & Design Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, installing, and commissioning electrical systems for solar and windmill projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in renewable energy systems, and possess the following technical skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Design:
- Design & Execution of electrical systems for solar and windmill projects, including electrical layouts, cable sizing, and earthing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other project components, such as mechanical, civil, and control systems.
2. Project Management:
- Manage electrical installation activities, including site supervision, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including MV/HV switchgear, transformers, and substations.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery, and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
- Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
3. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the project team, including troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, and performing root cause analysis using tools such as FMEA or similar.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, and test reports
4. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure electrical systems meet quality, safety, and performance standards, including IEC, IEEE, and local electrical codes, and perform quality control checks using tools such as checklists or similar.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety protocols, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy systems (solar and windmill), and experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning.
3. Skills:
1 Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems.
2. Experience in solar project for developing and reviewing construction-grade engineering packages (single line diagrams, layout & section drawings, raceway systems, grounding systems) is preferred.
3. Experience in renewable energy (Solar & Wind) projects for performing substation studies and analyses, including rigid bus analyses, grounding analyses, corona calculations, illumination studies, lightning protection studies, and auxiliary power system studies is preferred.
4. Ability to develop equipment specifications and review vendor documents to ensure technical compliance.
