To lead procurement strategies, supplier management, and cost optimization for a manufacturing or railway-based organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vendor identification, qualification, and relationship management to ensure a robust supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize procurement costs and efficiency.
● Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
● Strong understanding of Engineering Drawings and International Standards.
● Conduct supplier audits, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
● Negotiate and finalize contracts, pricing agreements, and SLAs with vendors.
● Ensure compliance with industry regulations and procurement policies.
● Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
● Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
● Develop long-term vendor relationships and strategic partnerships.
● Implement and oversee procurement automation and digital tools for efficient sourcing.
● Monitor market trends and supplier landscapes to mitigate supply chain risks.
Key Requirements:
● Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering;
● Experience: 10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor development in a heavy industry, railway, or Engineering manufacturing sector.
● Strong understanding of supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement analytics.
● Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) for procurement and supply chain.
● Knowledge of raw materials, machining, casting, forging, and fabrication processes.
● Familiarity with Indian and international procurement regulations.
● Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
