Job Description

As a International Business Development Manager for O&M Services for Renewable Energy Plants, your primary purpose is to drive the growth of our solar O&M services business by securing new client contracts and fostering strong relationships with third-party solar farm operators. Your strategic focus will be on expanding our market presence in different parts of the world, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring that our O&M services meet the evolving needs of the solar industry.

He/She will assist International BD Leads in Dubai and Australia

Role & Responsibility

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify emerging markets, trends, and opportunities in the solar O&M sector.
  • Prepare business forecast and achieve business targets in terms of MW and achieving top-line and bottom-line targets for O&M International Business 

Estimation and Tendering Process:

  • Identify key points from Enquiry/ RFQ/ RFP 
  • Clarify contractual terms with concern posts
  • Co-ordinate for Contractual KPI confirmation
  • Prepare estimate in consultation with International BD Leads
  • Submit Offers and follow-up 
  • Coordinate with contract team for finalization of Contracts

 

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and offer tailored O&M solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the solar industry to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities.

 

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the central marketing team of Sterling And Wilson Renewable O&M to create promotional materials and campaigns that highlight the company's strengths in solar O&M.
  • Prepare reports for senior management detailing progress, achievements, and any areas needing attention.

 

Regulatory Compliance and Industry Standards:

  • Stay updated with local, national, and international regulations affecting solar O&M.
  • Ensure that all business activities comply with industry standards and sustainability practices.


    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    Knowledge - Renewable energy, preferable solar / Wind.
    Education - Degree-qualified within an industry related discipline, MBA will be added advantage
    Experience - 5+ years of experience as BD Manager in international renewable energy sector

    Job related Skills Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of solar energy and O&M services.
    Strategic Planning: Ability to develop strategies for market expansion and client acquisition.
    Sales and Negotiation: Proficiency in closing deals and negotiating contracts.
    Relationship Management: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    Project Management: Experience in managing the participation and evaluation bidding and tendering in multiple projects and ensuring their timely submission of offers.
    Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and challenges.
    Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the solar energy sector.
