ROLE :- The Sr. Engineer - Cost will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis for MEP projects. The role demands expertise in cost planning, resource allocation, and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality project deliverables. The candidate will work closely with project teams, procurement, and finance departments to ensure cost-effectiveness across all stages of project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :-
Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects.
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents for cost implications.
Track project expenditures and analyze variances against budgeted costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
Implement effective cost-control measures and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Work closely with procurement to ensure competitive pricing for materials and services.
Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate pricing to optimize cost efficiency.
Prepare periodic financial reports on cost performance and budget utilization.
Maintain accurate cost records and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams for effective cost management.
Provide cost-related insights to support decision-making at various project stages.
QUALIFICATION :-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Certification in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying is a plus.
Experience in MEP industry cost estimation and control is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques in the MEP sector.
Proficiency in cost analysis tools, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
Understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost forecasting.
Ability to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
PREFERRED SKILLS :-
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Should be flexible with work
Discipled and quick learner
Basic written and oral English
