Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and process-driven Project Manager – Interiors to lead and deliver commercial and corporate interior fit-out projects. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle — from planning and design through execution and handover — ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Framework & Governance

    • Implement and maintain a robust project or program management framework tailored to corporate interior fit-outs.

    • Define and enforce criteria for project control, change management, and risk management within the region.

  2. Team Management & Coordination

    • Lead, supervise, and manage performance of both design teams and site delivery teams.

    • Facilitate collaboration and teamwork among stakeholders: clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

    • Serve as the escalation point between the client (or their representative) and the company to ensure smooth resolution of issues.

  3. Planning & Execution

    • Prepare, manage, and track detailed project schedules, including mobilization, logistics, and milestones.

    • Ensure that all deliverables (design, procurement, on-site work) are aligned with client requirements and business objectives.

    • Monitor and control project costs, changes, and variations; maintain risk allowances and contingency plans.

  4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

    • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and business partners to ensure quality, timelines, and compliance.

    • Negotiate contracts, review vendor proposals, and verify technical and commercial submissions.

  5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure that construction and finishes adhere to design intent, company quality standards, and relevant building regulations.

    • Conduct regular site inspections, enforce health & safety protocols, and monitor workmanship.

  6. Reporting & Communication

    • Establish formal reporting structures for project progress, budget status, risk, and deliverables.

    • Provide regular updates to clients and internal leadership on performance, risks, and variances.

  7. Handover & Close-Out

    • Oversee project close-out activities, including commissioning, punch-lists, and final client acceptance.

    • Ensure proper documentation (as-built drawings, maintenance manuals) is handed over.

  8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

    • Promote adoption of digital tools, project management software, and technology initiatives to improve efficiency.

    • Identify lessons learned and build best practices for future projects.

  9. Travel

    • Be prepared to travel to project sites as required across the region.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

  • Post-graduation or certification in Project Management or Construction Management is preferred.

  • 6+ years of professional experience in project management within the building construction industry, specifically in interior fit-outs (corporate offices, commercial spaces).

  • Proven experience in managing design-delivery teams and subcontractors in fit-out projects.

  • Strong knowledge of various trades relevant to interiors: partitions, finishes, furniture, MEP interfaces, etc.

  • Excellent understanding of construction documentation, BOQ, cost control, and delivery processes.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.), AutoCAD / Revit, and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Tech-savvy with a genuine interest in digital transformation and adopting new tools.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and organising skills.

  • Able to work independently, under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
